Band history
Cult of the Fox was formed in February 2007 by Magnus Hultman (vocals), Peter Svensson (bass), Malte Nordström (guitar) and Thomas Hedlund (drums). During the summer of 2007 the band recorded their first demo, called “Kitsunetsuki”, which consisted of four original heavy metal songs. The band made their first live appearance at the Robstock-festival, along with local acts 7 Sins and Portrait.
In September, Thomas left the band and was replaced by Daniel Fritze. Following the change, the band played at the United Metal Maniacs’ “Swedish Metal Attack” in Bitterfeldt, Germany, with Ram and Devil Lee Rot. The gig was well received and demos and t-shirts were almost sold-out. In the spring of 2008 the band wrote and recorded their second demo, “The Power We Serve”. The demo was officially released at the band’s gig at KulturBolaget, Malmö, in May 2008.
During the fall of 2008 Per Persson joined the band as second guitarist.
